5 Minute Friday: Mess

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

 Mess

Start:

Finding order, finding balance and staking out some ground and the courage to say 'this is our mess and you're welcome to it'. I've been prone to clutter always (as is my husband) and adding three littles has only aggravated that except where it has helped tremendously.

Where motherhood has forced me to let go of old stuff to make room for their stuff, not to mention my new role and new dreams.  Where motherhood has forced me to get more organized so that there is time for play and we still have clean clothes and yummy food.  Where motherhood has given me the courage to say 'this is how we parent' and 'this is how we keep house' and it works for us.

Stop.

Please head over to Lisa Jo's for more 5 Minute Friday

  1. I'm super-prone to clutter as well... Thankfully my husband isn't, and forces me to clean it out pretty frequently, but I fight it way too much! Time to purge again :)

  2. I love this bit ----> "the courage to say 'this is our mess and you're welcome to it' ". I'm starting to gain that courage and to host guests in our home even when it's not perfect, because I'm realize that hospitality is more important than a visibly messy home.
